OMAR RAMOS (He/Him/His)
Technical Director

Omar Ramos is Technical Director for the Department of Dance at the University of California, Riverside. Raised in Southern California, Ramos holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design with a dual focus in lighting and sound from the University of California, San Diego. His design and associate design credits from across the U.S. include the Goodman Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater (Chicago), McCarter Theatre Center (Princeton, NJ), Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Ashland), and San Diego Repertory Theatre. 

 Ramos hopes to leverage his years as a lighting, sound, and video designer into becoming a dynamic resource for students and faculty at UC Riverside. He intends to serve as an enabler for creativity as well as the conduit through which the UCR dance community obtains access to technology to support their artistic endeavors.
